Laser is used in the following treatments in dentistry.
Gum operations:
Laser is used to remove diseased tissues inside the gums.
Gum aesthetics (pink aesthetics):
Sagging, asymmetrical, and swollen gums are treated with lasers. Lasers are also used to adjust the gums to fit new dentures before installing veneers , empress veneers, or zirconia crowns .
In the treatment of darkened gums:
Laser is used in the treatment of gums that have become dark or even black due to pigmentation .
In root canal treatments:
In root canal treatments, infected tissues inside the canals of the teeth are cleaned with a laser.
Implant Operations:
During implant surgery, lasers are used to create holes in the gums before the implants are placed. This reduces surgery time and eliminates the need for stitches.
Whitening:
Laser is used in office type whitening .
In canker sore treatments:
Canker sores in the mouth can be treated with laser.
Desensitization:
Laser is effective in eliminating tooth sensitivity caused by hot and cold foods.
In wound healing:
Laser is used in the healing process of wounds after surgical operations, tooth extractions, and implant applications.
